Finally SK-II launches an eye serum—SK-II Facial Treatment Essence-Eye. Since I started using this range of products, I’ve always hoped that they have a serum for the delicate eye area as I am a strong believer in their effectiveness.

The texture of this treatment serum for the eyes is a surprise and did cause some concern at first, as it appears as opaque as a lotion. But upon application, there wasn’t any oily film on the skin. I love the fluidity of this serum as it spreads easily and is great for massaging my eye area a little more than usual. The lightness of this creamy-textured serum becomes even more obvious when my eye contour does not become oily even after layering with SK-II’s new LXP Ultimate Perfecting Eye Cream for added treatment, and no new milia seeds formed. When I was using just the LXP eye cream, a beauty therapist commented that the skin on my eye contour seem be finer than the rest of my face. So when I started on this treatment serum for the eyes, I hope the fine lines, dark circles and puffiness would reduce even further with the improved penetration of the treatment ingredients.  

I stopped using SK-II Facial Treatment Essence-Eye and LXP Ultimate Perfecting Eye Cream for a few days when I was travelling recently. During this period I slept less and later than usual and my dark eye circles become even more obvious. Upon returning home a few days later, I resumed my regular SK-II eye treatment regimen and the intensity of the dark eye circles was reduced after a couple of days.

SK-II EYE MASSAGE

As the millennia men and women spend more time staring at bright screens (ie our mobile phone, laptops and computer), soothe and rejuvenate tired eyes daily with light massages.

SK-II’S specially designed an eye massage intensifies the benefits of the new Facial Treatment Essence – Eye, based on the principles of lymph drainage, relaxation of stressed muscles and promotion of blood circulation.

Step 1: Apply Facial Treatment Essence – Eye along the muscles surrounding the eyes.

Step 2: Gently slide finger around skin, massaging the lymphatic vessels.

Step 3: Apply pressure at the temple, or sun point, moving in a circular direction for 5 times.

Staring at a bright screen all day whether it is your computer screen, ipad or android phone all, contributes to eye strain or tired eyes. Takes steps to reduce eye fatigue:

a.      Adjust the screen light to reduce glare.

b.     Rest eyes by taking periodic breaks. Ideally, look up from your screen every 15 minutes to focus on a distant object for about two minutes. Blink frequently or use eye drops to relieve dryness and irritation.

c.      The distance of your computer screen from your eyes and that between your eyes and your reference material should be the same and at the same height too. You can use an adjustable copy holder if needed. This reduces the need to change eye focus when frequent references are needed.
