In the past lip glosses give lips plumped up appearance and a touch of colour which completely fades away with a sip of water or after a snack. However, with this little wonder, I found that the stain it leaves on my cup is minimal compared to my other glosses and lipsticks, and I could still see most of this Vernis à Lèvres on my lip. What’s great is this lippy takes me from a casual day look to a more formal evening do too. For a casual nude look with a just a touch of colour, I slicked lips with one to two coats of the lip lacquer. And for a formal do, I could build up the lip colour by giving the lips a few coats until I am satisfied with the shade. What I love about the nude finish is that when my eye makeup is intense, this luminosity of just a coat or two of the nude shade is enough to enliven the overall finish for an evening event. Lifeproof Colour Emulsion This main technology in Vernis à Lèvres Rebel Nudes is an YSL innovation that uses a polymer blend or film-coating technology called ethylcellulose first used in pharmaceutical and food industries as a coating agent such as for medication. This technology works in three stages. It leaves a refreshing sensation, forms a non-sticky siliconised lay on the lip while packing in the colour intensity and radiance with extreme vibrancy.

Euphotic Coloured Light (patent-pending) This technology comprise of patent pending nacres. It replaces an ingredient the classic pearls with a multilayerd pearl (Euphotic Colored Light Technology) and includes the mastery of deposit and thickness control of the multi-layered coating. The new generation pearl pigment or nacres is composed of transparent core and three layers of minerals (Titanium Dioxide and Silicon Dioxide). When light is shone over this pigment, it offers a three-dimensional colour with multiple nuances like prism reflects to enliven lips with twice the luminosity and depth of conventional pearl finishes.
