REVIEW Control Frizzy Hair And Get Glossy Healthier Hair With The Right Hair Care Living Proof

Last December I brought these five hair care products with me to a retreat and I fell in love with it. Here’s the review:

I used this combination of hair products for my frizzy hair that fluffs up at the ends if no leave in is used after a shampoo. 

Living Proof No Frizz Shampoo thoroughly cleans my frizzy and coarse hair in just one shampoo. Although the press release indicate that it doesn’t strip the hair, my hair feels even more squeaky clean than my usual shampoo for coloured hair. It’s not a complain, but an observation.

My hair was then conditioned with Living Proof No Frizz Conditioner, as per my usual practice so that it’s more manageable. I was told that this Living Proof Prime Style Extender helps to boost the longlasting properties of hair styling products I use after applying this, so I prepped my damp hair with this before applying the Living Proof Perfect Hair Day 5- in-1 Styling Treatment and left it to dry naturally. Note that I do not have the habit of combing my hair I had a hair perm years ago, for fear of losing the curls sooner that I would like it to.

What’s Great about Living Proof Hair Care

Living Proof No Frizz Shampoo, $13 (Travel Size) is free of sulphate and removes dirt and oil without drying out the length of your hair.

What’s interesting about it is that it repels dirt and oil, so that you can go longer in-between shampoos. It doesn’t contain any silicones or oils that wear hair down. The scientific innovation:

To tackle the problem of short shelf-life hair styles, Living Proof looked at the root cause of the problem. First, they studied what happens when a hair style is set – as the hair is heated and dried, temporary hydrogen bonds are formed to “set” the style. As soon as moisture vapor reenters

the hair, it disrupts these temporary, weak hydrogen bonds. Throughout the day,

moisture levels in the environment are constantly changing due to the weather, air conditioning

or heating indoors and eventually the weak hydrogen bonds break down, causing the hair style

to fail.

Powered by Living Proof’s miracle molecule, OFPMA, this new formula protects hydrogen bonds that are formed to “set” the style by keeping it from breaking, while also repeling dirt and oil to prolong the life of any style. Customer test results:

Although this is not ideal in our hot and humid climate, the number of women who shampooed every 4 days, doubled after they started using Living Proof. Styling with PHD

PHD Styling Treatment works well when air drying and blow drying. Each technique gives a different look. Blow dry hair section by section for extra smoothness and/or body and volume. For a more bodified blowout use a round brush. For a sleek blowout use a flat brush. Apply PHD Styling to damp hair and allow hair to air dry for a smooth, healthy style with natural body and enhanced curl pattern.

How to use it:

1. Apply to damp hair.

- For fine and/or short hair, start with an American nickel size or less.

- For medium to thick and/or long hair, start with an American quarter size.

·        Comb through hair

·        For best results, blow dry.

·        Blow dry tip: For a more bodified blowout use a round brush. For a sleek blowout use a flat brush. Blow dry section by section.

·        Air dry for an easy, natural style.

·        Air dry tip: Use slightly less product than if you were blow drying.

VERDICT:

In this product review, pictures of my hair after using the products is the best proof of its effectiveness. 

  

After using this range of products, my hair was appears healthier with a glossy finish, and doesn’t not fluff up or becomes frizzy at the ends. I even tried using Living Proof Perfect Hair Day 5- in-1 Styling Treatment with my usual hair shampoo and conditioner for coloured hair, but the result was not as ideal as this and my hair wasn’t as lightweight as it is with this combination of hair care. I received compliments from friends asking me what I had done with my hair, which surprised me as I didn’t realise that the result was so obvious. Every woman who wants beautiful looking hair should use this range of hair care.
