Red lips are still THE SHADE to wear for the rest of 2013 and at year end parties. This gorgeous colour brightens up your face in a jiffy. 

TIP: So what to do about your makeup? When in doubt always keep makeup simple when wearing intense lip shades, so that when your friends are chatting with you their eyes would NOT be confused by the strong eye colour, bright rosy cheeks and red lips. You have three areas shouting for attention. When you keep eye make up subtle and give cheeks just a touch of subtle colour so that you appear less pale, while wearing a bright red, the overall look will be pleasant. Those who are looking at you during a conversation would find it pleasant to look at you even though you are both keeping eye contact.

To recommend a shade for this year end party, I suggest a lippy that a girlfriend gave me--Tom Ford Lip Color No10--that local media has been praising for the past months.

The texture is creamy and slicks on easily. When wearing a intense colour, it's best to use a lip brush and lip pencil to perfect the shape. It may be old school, but it would be easier for you to even out the edges. In the pictures the shades appear really glossy because of the reflection from the flash, but in normal room lighting is not as glossy as a lip gloss. The name of the shade is Cherry Lush, which to me would have have a tinge of orange red in it, but it appears more of a blue-red on the tube and on my lips.

After a sip of water, some colour is transfered to the cup, but lips are still evenly coated, and perhaps just subtly faded after some colour is left on the cup below.

As you can see for the image above, the lip colour has faded a little.

VERDICT:
It's a great lip stick to use all day as lips feel comfortable and soft all day, and with this shade, they appear luscious too. As you can see, the deep lines on my lips are less obvious with the lippy. After some food, simply give lips a fresh coat of colour.
